Top Reasons to BUY Your Home Now

Why would you Buy a Home during and Economic Crisis?

There may be over One Thousand Reasons…

This video was recorded in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, during the quarantine…

There may be over one thousand reasons why someone decided to move forward and present an offer during those pressing times…

Of all the reasons the most common are:

They need to move and are not used or interested in renting… they are not willing to wait and are making decisions right now.

Interest rates are in the low 3 percent, if someone waits for the prices to go down and interest rates go up, the decline in price has to be significative to end with the same monthly payment. Also, many people will end paying less to own than what they are paying in rent.

They found the home of their dreams and were ready to buy a HOME with the intention of holding it long term. Some could be even lucky and run across a very motivated seller willing to reduce the price, but interestingly enough we don’t see panic price drops as a norm in the market right now and many people are offering fair market value based on the comps.

So, if you connect with one of these 3 reasons such as the need to move, you want to take advantage of the low interest rates or you are planning to buy for the long term it may be a good move.

Even though there is a lot of uncertainty as of where this will take us, many economists predict that the housing prices may not be affected as they did in 2008. The fundamentals of the real estate industry were in a much healthier place to begin with, the price increases prior to 2008 were outrageous and financing was too loose; in turn, prior to this crisis, in most markets the price increases were more balanced and there is much more equity in the properties, so less distressed sellers may be in need to reduce the prices dramatically.

If you are thinking about buying as an investment and are looking for a “deal” maybe you can wait a little, you just have to know what you want, keep an eye in that specific product and find the right time to buy. There is a sweet spot to buy when prices decline, if they would, and pinpointing it is an art.

After the Stock Market Crash many people are looking at Real Estate as a safe place to park their cash!

Every situation is different, and you have to assess yours before making a decision.

About Inés Garcia-Arcaya

More than properties — I deliver peace of mind.

Real estate decisions are complex and the stakes are high. I help buyers and sellers move forward with confidence by combining deep market knowledge, broker-level experience, and an architecture-trained eye. My role goes beyond managing a transaction. I help you understand the numbers, see what others may overlook, avoid costly mistakes, and move through the process with clarity and less stress.

Because true luxury isn't only what you buy or sell — it's how protected, informed, and at ease you feel along the way.

My background is a little different from most agents. I studied architecture in Venezuela, earned an MBA from the University of Miami, and spent years in brokerage leadership — including serving as managing broker for one of the largest real estate firms in South Florida. That combination shapes everything about how I work. I look at properties through the lens of design, function, and long-term value. I analyze pricing and strategy with a business mindset. And I bring the kind of transactional experience that only comes from having seen hundreds of deals from every angle.

I've lived in South Florida since 2000 and currently call Downtown Coral Gables home — a city I genuinely love for its walkability, architecture, and sense of community. That's not a marketing line. It means I know these neighborhoods personally, not just professionally.

Real estate involves many moving parts: pricing, timing, condition, contracts, inspections, insurance, financing, associations, negotiations. My job is to simplify all of it — without sugarcoating the hard parts. I believe in honest advice, even when it's not what someone wants to hear. I'd rather have a direct conversation early than let a client move forward on incomplete information.

If you're buying, selling, leasing, or just trying to understand the market — I'm happy to talk.
